Dr. Sungwon (Sung) Woo, Ph.D., M.Ed., is passionate about teaching and learning. Dr. Woo supports faculty and students to achieve learning objectives through the design and development of meaningful learning experiences, valid assessments, facilitating effective learning technologies, and ensuring alignment of instructional goals and curriculum.

Prior to joining the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Woo carried out instructional design projects and taught several courses in critical thinking, bioethics, religion, and science, as well as MCAT prep seminars for the University of Maryland. In the process, he received multiple awards for his teaching and instructional design excellence at the University. Sung earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree (Philosophy) from the University of Maryland and his master’s degree in Education (Learning & Technology) from Western Governors University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Seoul National University.
