Dr. Tae Choo
Dr. Tae Choo, Ph.D (Korea), L.Ac.
Dr. Tae Cheong Choo serves as President Emeritus for the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Choo previously served as VUIM’s President, providing leadership through our greatest period of growth, achievement of our institutional accreditation with ACAOM, while also leading the design and implementation of our institution’s DAOM program. Today, Dr. Choo fulfills a critical day-to-day role for the University as the Lead Professor, Herbalist, and Private Practitioner for our thriving campus operations in Ridgefield, New Jersey.
Beyond his contributions to VUIM, Dr. Choo stands as a leader in the Oriental Medicine field and is a highly advanced practitioner. Studying and practicing East Asian Medicine since 1980, he received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Kyung Hee University in Seoul, universally recognized as the premier of East Asian Medical University in the world. He is considered a Master Practitioner of two of the safest and most effective methods of acupuncture, SaAm Acupuncture (Korean 4 Needle Technique) and Master Tong’s acupuncture.
During the course of his professional career to date, he has treated over 200,000 patients both in Korea and the United States with an extensive range of diseases including stroke, all manners of musculoskeletal pain, back pain, arthritis, infertility, stress-related conditions, headaches, allergies and cancer to just name a few. He is a renowned and revered East Asian Medicine Specialist for the treatment of Stroke related conditions. He teaches Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine worldwide, in Europe, Southern Asia, and Asia. His expertise and abilities have been recognized year after year.
